Senior Pastor
Rev. Paul Leonard
Rev. Paul Leonard was raised in Santa Clarita and Colton, CA. He attended UC Santa Barbra with a degree in German Language And Literature before attending seminary at Fuller Theological Seminary. His work outside of ministry was as an auto mechanic and IT technician, and he has a personal passion for fine art. He has been married to his wife Ruthanne for 13 years and has two little dogs.
Paul began his ministry in a rural church in New Hampshire in 2017, and started at St. Johns in July 2022.
As a minister, Paul is passionate about developing churches in a way that empowers the congregation to serve Christ and effectively evangelize its area. As the son of a minster himself, and a lifetime of experience in various churches his primary concern and sense of call is about shifting the church from an inward focus where churches struggle about preferences in music and see the church as primarily serving only members to an outward focused church that focuses on serving others and trying to make the tent as big as possible.
Licensed Ministers
All of our licensed ministers are very active at St. John’s church. They routinely manage charity work, visitations, lead worship, and perform many other task here at St. John’s. Each underwent training under our former lead pastor Rev. Blake Heffner, and each has years of experience in the ministerial role.
Pastor Tim Gordan
Pastor Tim grew up in Williams Township and has served St. John’s in a variety of roles. He currently teaches the Jr. High Confirmation course and is the serving president of St. John’s elected body the consistory.
Pastor Linda Kreitz
Pastor Linda serves as a pastor of visitation, maintains the church’s prayer chain, and leads St John’s Greifshare ministry. She participates in to many ministries to list including community support ministries and charity work.
Pastor Dara Lavoie
Pastor Dara currently serves as St. John’s youth group leader. She has a passion for reaching young hearts for Jesus and serves in many charity roles in the community.
Pastor Barbara Duncan
Pastor Barbara leads the weekly woman’s bible study at St. Johns. She is active in the community organizing for food drives and support ministries for our local mission partners.
